Jeremy Sunny Johnson-LeMieux from Ann Arbor Michigan has been drawing passionately since he was able to manipulate a crayon.  Heavily influenced by the art nouveau movement of the late 19th century, artists like Alphonse Mucha, Aubrey Beardsley and Gustav Klimt as well as the Japanese graphic artists Hiroshi Hirata, Kazao Koiki and Goseki Kojima have inspired his illustrative style.  After high school Jeremy spent much time traveling on the American road in search of deep wilderness, spiritual knowledge and adventure.  He acquired a graphic design degree then spent 19 months living off the grid in a tent including 7 months in a wood stove heated tree house and is now working toward a degree in Fine Art at Wayne State University in Detroit.  Historical figures and writers such as Haile Selassie I, Malcolm X, Jack London, Rabindranath Tagore, Jomo Kenyatta, Nelson Mandela, Charles Dickens, and Martin Luther King Jr. have fueled a socio-political flare to his vision.  Drawing as a meditation is strengthened by his love and knowledge of world trance music especially the psychedelic dub sounds of Jamaica, Mao Long music of Thailand, African High Life and the music of the Balkans to name a few.  Professionally he has worked for musicians, businesses, corporations, as well as portrait art for individuals and families.  Please enjoy this gallery of some of his best...
